Big News: We moved!
Not far though. Actually, we're probably within 1 mile of our former dwelling place, but we feel SO blessed to have our new home. Our 2-bedroom was starting to feel a bit too cozy, especially in light of baby #4 coming in November. (Of course, we could've made it work, but God seemed to open the door for buying this house we now have--and it's double the space!).
A Christian couple we know called us about a year ago and asked if we might be interested in buying their home. Long story short, they very generously sold it to us for under the market value. God provided in many other ways throughout the process, and we became the new homeowners this past July. We now live about 1 mile from campus so Mr. Ely is able to bike there several times during the week for ministry (which saves on gas & parking expenses, etc). And we're about the same distance from our church so it works out really well. We've been here for 4 weeks and we've still got some unpacking/organizing to do. But we're loving the additional space and the wonderful backyard (which came to us furnished with great shade, a swing set, and a trampoline!). We're really thankful for God's blessing!
