Papaya's Poser

I forgot to tell you about a conversation with Papaya (age 3) at the pool last weekend.

After we had been swimming for a while, she asked, "Momma, is this the cat pool?"

I was puzzled at her question. "What?" I asked.

She said again, "Is this the cat pool?"

"No..." I answered, still perplexed at what was going on in that little head of hers. "This is the kiddie pool."

Then it hit me in mid-response, and I'm sure you understand now too, that she thought I was calling it the "kitty" (cat) pool! How funny!
